Form does not emerge once and sit finished. Individuation is a never-complete process of phase transition, and any formed individual still contains a degree of the pre-individual. So a boundary was never a completed achievement that later erodes — it was always an ongoing resolution carrying its own remainder. This answers the obvious objection that some boundaries hold for a very long time: holding is not the same as being finished. The Big Other names the same refusal of a finished state in a different vocabulary.
