21 · Individuation

Individual and milieu are mutually determining, each an expression of information in a feedback of mutual self-shaping; neither pre-exists the other. Which is why a sensor-driven object cannot accurately be called "an object that detects its environment." The object and the room it senses are two halves of one individuation, and the noise belongs to both.
